Welcome to Misty Forest Ikebana, where I teach the beautiful art of ikebana and create stunning floral arrangements for your special occasions in Perth, Western Australia.

I am a licensed Sogetsu ikebana teacher. I started learning ikebana in 2002 and become a Sogetsu teacher in 2010. I have participated in workshops at the Sogetsu headquarters in Tokyo, as well as in workshops run by visiting Sogetsu master instructors in Australia. I have also participated in numerous exhibitions with ASTA in Australia. To promote the artistic side of Sogetsu, I have also exhibited with potters, painters, sculptors, and mixed media artists. The numerous exhibitions I have contributed to include “Biology as an Art" at the University of Western Australia, and “WA Artists of Croatian Descent”, where I collaborated with local ceramic artists. I have been actively teaching Sogetsu Ikebana since 2018. I also served in leadership positions in ASTA WA until 2024.

My other qualifications include a BSc (Honours) in Electronics, Computing and Electrical Engineering. I worked as a software designer, programmer in the telecommunications industry, and IT analyst and system engineer in higher education. Early in my professional career, I taught electronics and digital technology to high school students.

My other interests include art and craft, literature and poetry, philosophy, science, and history.
